A: The Million Dollar Advocates forum is a lawyers group where the only requirement to gain entry is that the lawyer has to have obtained a minimum of one million dollars for a client in a lawsuit (either by settlement or verdict). Oh yes, the lawyer has to pay a $400 fee to get a fancy certificate saying he's now a member of this organization. There's no certifying board that confirms or reviews the cases the lawyer claims to have resolved in excess of one million dollars. It's just the lawyer's own statement where he or she is expected to be truthful about their accomplishments. While I would certainly qualify for entry into this Million Dollar Advocates Forum, I think my clients are more interested in the information I provide them, than they are in seeing another fancy certificate on my wall.
