If a juror knows one of the lawyers in the case or one of the people involved, can he still sit on the case?

A: No. The reason is that we want to have a non-biased jury render an impartial decision based on the facts and the evidence presented in Court. It would be easy for a juror to side with the person whom they know, which would be unfair to the other side. That's why during jury selection, we ask potential jurors if they know any of the lawyers or the parties involved in the lawsuit.
