Allegheny County jury awards $1.4 million in asbestos case Thursday, November 17, 2005 An Allegheny County jury awarded $1.4 million to a woman whose husband died of a rare form of cancer associated with inhaling asbestos fibers. Edward J. Bugosh died from mesothelioma during the course of the two-week trial before Common Pleas Judge W. Terrence O'Brien. Numerous companies that supplied products containing asbestos to Mr. Bugosh's workplace were defendants and ordered to pay damages to his wife, Judith.
