Jury awards Largo woman in hospital accident $4 million Largo, Florida - A Largo woman who suffered a brain injury after a hospital accident, has been awarded nearly $4 million by a jury. Kathleen Leer sued, after an intravenous tube was removed three years ago at Largo Medical Center, causing a stroke and brain damage. Leer's lawyer says she's paralyzed on her left side, and requires 24 hour care from her husband. Hospital officials say she had many health problems before she was admitted, and they may appeal.
