Jury awards elderly couple $1.8 million December 28, 2005 BOW, N.H. --A jury has awarded a man and his wife nearly $2 million in a malpractice lawsuit against the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic. Harvey Bergeron, 83, suffered a stroke in 2001 after undergoing bypass surgery because he didn't receive proper post-surgery care, his lawyer said. The clinic has asked a judge to set aside the $1.8 million verdict or start a new trial, saying doctors followed bypass surgery guidelines.
