A woman was hit by a Mack truck while crossing the street at the intersection of 23rd Street and 1st Avenue in Manhattan. She was in the crosswalk, walking with the green light and the walk signal when she was carelessly hit by a huge demolition Mack truck knocking her to the ground. Importantly, there were 3 separate traffic signs for motorists to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. She didn't know who would pay for her surgery to fix her fractured wrist. She didn't know who would pay for the ambulance bill or the emergency room bill. she didn't know how she would get compensated for her lost earnings, or the earnings she was going to lose in the future. She needed legal help and didn't know where to turn or what to do. This woman came to me asking for help to guide her through the process of making a claim against the truck's insurance company. Ultimately, she needed to file a lawsuit in order for her to get compensated for the pain and suffering she endured through no fault of her own.
