Why do we have to certify that a medical malpractice lawsuit is meritorious?
It's because the courts do not want “frivolous” cases being brought.
We must have a medical expert confirm that there was wrongdoing, that the wrongdoing caused injury and that the injury is significant and/or permanent. The attorney is the one who actually submits a certification to the court, and not the expert who reviewed the case. Watch the video to learn more.
