You'd be surprised how many clients ask this question.
There are some law firms that introduce you to an attorney on your first visit. Maybe it's not even an attorney. They might call that person an 'intake specialist'. In those firms, it's unlikely that the same person will be the one who is with you at your pre-trial question and answer session known as a deposition.
In other firms there is one attorney dedicated to handling the pre-trial functions of your case. That attorney will likely be at your deposition. Those firms have dedicated trial attorneys where they only thing they focus on is trials.
In some small law firms and solo law firms, you'll find that the attorney you meet with will be the one who meets you initially and will be the one who is with you at your deposition and will also be your trial attorney.
